Thermage CPT

THRM_Logo_AbergineThermage CPT® uses radiofrequency heat energy to deliver bulk heating to the dermis, stimulating collagen regeneration at this level. This completely non-invasive treatment can help improve the appearance of sagging or loose skin, giving you a smoother, sleeker, and younger look and feel with no downtime. Thermage treatments can be performed on any area of the face and body and are particularly rejuvenating when combined with the deep, targeted energy delivery of an Ultherapy treatment.

“CPT” stands for Comfort Pulse Technology and is an upgrade to older Thermage technology that makes the procedure more comfortable and delivers energy more efficiently.

Dr. Elbert T. Cheng and Dr. Jacqueline T. Cheng were instrumental in the development of the new Thermage Total Tip that is now used internationally with the Thermage CPT machine to deliver radiofrequency energy most efficiently and give the best treatment results.

The procedure continues to provide improvement for up to six months after your treatment, as it stimulates your body to produce more natural collagen. Thermage CPT is popular with both men and women and is safe for all skin tones and types.

At the Center for Facial and Body Rejuvenation, our board-certified facial plastic surgeons approach every procedure individually. We spend time with you to understand what you wish to correct, and we examine you carefully to determine the best plan to achieve your goals.

Your Thermage CPT Procedure

Since Thermage is not a laser, it heats only the deep layers of the skin and leaves the top layers cool. No topical anesthetic is required, but we do recommend taking a dose of acetaminophen one hour prior to your treatment to improve your comfort level during the procedure.

Immediately after the procedure, your skin will feel smoother and tighter. These effects will continue gradually for 4-6 months as collagen production is accelerated.

Recovering from Thermage CPT

No downtime is required after Thermage CPT. You can continue all activities right away. While you may experience mild redness immediately following the procedure, this resolves quickly, and you can resume your usual activities immediately following the treatment.
