Are you bothered by loose skin on your neck and around the jowls? Precision Tx™ laser is a minimally invasive procedure that improves these areas of fat and skin laxity on the lower face and neck.
This technology provides a knifeless facelift and neck lift. While the results are more subtle than surgery, it can help you put off surgery and is an alternative for those who do not want a surgical facelift or neck lift.
The procedure does require tiny incisions, but they are so small that no sutures are needed. Precision Tx also stimulates your body to create new collagen, which further tightens your skin over the months following the treatment.
Precision Tx uses heat to tighten the skin with a temperature-controlled system called ThermaGuide that allows the laser to provide a more reliable result and avoid any risk of overheating.
At the Center for Facial and Body Rejuvenation, our board-certified facial plastic surgeons approach every procedure individually. We spend time with you to understand what you wish to correct, and we examine you carefully to determine the best plan to achieve your goals.
Your Precision Tx Procedure
Precision Tx can be done using a local anesthetic. Tiny incisions – so small that they don’t even require a single stitch – are made behind the ears and under the chin. A tiny cannula (tube) is inserted, and laser fibers are threaded through it to melt the excess fat cells using a thermal and photochemical effect. The liquefied fat is suctioned out similar to liposuction through the cannula.
The entire procedure takes about one hour, and you will go home with dressings on the incisions.
Recovering from Precision Tx
You will see some immediate skin tightening, which will continue to improve for 3-6 months. We will give you a compression garment to wear around your head and neck for 1 week and at night for an additional 4 weeks.
Most patients return to work within 2-3 days. You might have some tenderness, swelling, and mild bruising, but these symptoms typically resolve within a few days. You can take non-prescription pain medication, if necessary.
The results of Precision Tx have lasted as long as 5-10 years in some cases.
