RN | Operating Room Nurse / Aesthetic Nurse

Ashley is our operating room nurse. She has medical aesthetic experience in all things lasers: laser hair removal, laser tattoo removal, IPL, Clear and Brilliant, etc. After a while she wanted to explore the world of surgery and decided to apply for an aesthetic OR job which is how she became a part of the Cheng team! She loves being able to help people become more confident in their own skin, which is why the aesthetic industry has always been of interest to her. In her free time, you'll find her exploring the Bay Area.

Fernanda Sanchez

Scrub Tech | Medical Assistant | Phlebotomist

Fernanda has been working in the medical field since 2018, inspired by helping with her grandmother's health history and a desire to make a meaningful impact in healthcare. Over the years, her passion expanded into the world of aesthetics and surgical procedures—especially anything involving lab work and phlebotomy. In 2021, she completed her phlebotomy training, fully embracing the hands-on nature of blood draws, lab testing, and the clinical side of patient care.

Mindy Tran

Medical Assistant / Scrub Tech

Mindy is a dedicated medical assistant on the path to medical school, working under the mentorship of Dr. Elbert Cheng. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from UC Davis and brings over four years of healthcare experience, including roles in pediatric ophthalmology and vascular surgery. She's passionate about helping people feel comfortable and cared for. Outside of the clinic, Mindy volunteers at the RotaCare San Jose Free Clinic, serving uninsured patients, and mentors local first-generation students through Minds Matter Bay Area. Her background working with people from all walks of life helps her connect with our patients and guide them through every step of their visit.
